![]() But this is just my position and everyone needs to make their own choice. For private individuals, such as myself, I do NOT want to have to pay a subscription, to perpetuity, so that when I am 90 yrs old and just want to edit photos twice a year, I am still forced to pay non-stop all year round. My personal thoughts are that for a company running a business, the subscription model is good as it gives them access to multiple programs in a suite, and everything is always up to date. A lot of people are happy with Iridient and C1 and of course SilkyPix. If you prefer to only use LR only as a raw converter and do everything else with other tools, then consider other raw converter program, however most will cost similar to buying the upgrade to LR. If these are important to you, then stick with LR. Vous pouvez suivre les volutions et tlcharger X-Transformer ici. which standalone raw processors don't do and neither does C1 (as far as I know). full DAM (Digital Asset Management database), export/publish to external services like Flickr and SmugMug and Facebook, produce slideshows, print multi images per page, create publishable books, etc., etc. I love the fact the LR provides a LOT more than just raw processing. I personally would (and had) buy the one-off update to the latest LR version (I think it is around $100 use the upgrade option) and stick with that. Click to expand. That would mean that one can pay $10 for a month, get everything installed, and then stop paying and it carries on working? I seriously doubt that.
